L'Harmonie des Saisons - Mozart Requiem

L’Harmonie des saisons celebrates its 15th anniversary in grand style!

To mark this milestone occasion, L’Harmonie des saisons — featuring soloists, choir, and orchestra — will present one of the greatest works in the sacred repertoire: W. A. Mozart’s Requiem. A specially assembled ensemble of 45 musicians from Canada, the United States, and Chile will deliver a powerful musical experience, suspended between funeral prayer and sacred drama.

Performed on period instruments, this iconic masterpiece will be brought to life with the same colors and sonic textures that the Viennese audience would have heard in 1791. The rich and resonant tones of natural horns, basset horns, classical trombones and bassoons, supported by the warm, organic sound of gut strings, will restore to this music its rare intensity — blending gravitas with poignant fragility.
